Products
Two open products from Ashforde OÜ.
Both are open source: the code, the tests and the evidence for every figure on this page are public.

Kshana क्षण
the precise instant
An open-source simulator for PNT (positioning, navigation and timing) resilience. It replays GNSS jamming, spoofing and clock holdover, and reports how long a system keeps time and position inside its budget, and which clock or sensor buys the most margin.
In figures
- 666 / 666
- SGP4 reference vectors (AIAA 2006-6753) reproduced; worst position error 4.12 mmSource: README.md · Evidence, docs/SGP4-VALIDATION.md
- 87
- scenario kinds in one engine, from orbit geometry and inertial navigation to integrity, clocks and timingSource: README.md · Capabilities (kshana kinds)
- 5,700+
- automated tests in the repository; every run reproducible bit for bit from scenario, seed and engine versionSource: #[test] functions in src/ and tests/, commit bc04e98
- 176 / 388
- capabilities validated against an independent external oracle; every other row says plainly that it is notSource: src/verification.rs, docs/VERIFICATION-MATRIX.md
Who it is for
Engineers and researchers who need to study what happens to a navigation or timing system when satellite signals fail, and need results that anyone can reproduce.
What it is not
Not radio-frequency hardware: it transmits nothing. Not a certified GNSS receiver and not a flight product. Nothing it produces is a certification.
Try it in a minute
cargo install kshanapip install kshananpm install kshanaOne command for the command-line tool; the same release is published for Python and for JavaScript (WebAssembly). Kshana Studio is at kshana.dev.
Licence
AGPL-3.0-only, or a commercial licence from Ashforde OÜ for closed integration that the AGPL does not suit.
II·Open exoplanet observatory · Python · v0.1.0
SetuHQ सेतु
the bridge
An open exoplanet observatory: from public sky data to reviewed, explained candidates. Give it a TESS star and a sector or two; a panel of reviewers marks every dip in the light curve, then the pipeline fits the transits, checks each signal against false alarms and labels everything it reports.
In figures
- 1,137
- tests collected, 1,130 of them run offline in continuous integrationSource: README.md · tests badge (pytest collection)
- 662
- real TESS candidates in a frozen, blind benchmark; held-out completeness 60% (90 of 150), published with its shortfallsSource: docs/results/benchmark_real_tois_clipfix.md
- 5%
- pi Men c, a known planet, found blind: radius ratio and transit duration within 5% of the published valuesSource: docs/results/pi_men_validation.md
- 8,376
- exoplanet records in the catalogue, with 15 chapters on how planets are foundSource: README.md · exoplanet.eu, fetched 2026-10-18
Who it is for
Researchers, educators and citizen scientists who want a transit search they can audit, on public TESS data.
What it is not
Not a source of confirmed planets: it finds and vets candidates, and finding a known planet again checks the pipeline; it is not a discovery.
Try it in a minute
pip install setuhqPython 3.11 or later. The app is at setuhq.com.
Licence
AGPL-3.0-only, or a commercial licence from Ashforde OÜ. SetuHQ's own data, benchmark and paper are under CC BY 4.0. Paid editions are planned, not built.
For a commercial licence, write to contact@ashforde.org.
